FAQ ON CATERING - GENERAL QUESTIONS


  1. Is Curry Pot Catering Pte Ltd Halal-certified?

    Yes, Curry Pot Catering is Halal-certified. You may request us to send you the certification.

    Upon request we can display our halal certificate at the buffet so that your Muslim guests can rest assured of our certification.


  2. What is your earliest delivery timing and do you deliver on public holiday?

    We deliver everyday even on public holidays and our earliest delivery time for both buffet and mini buffet is from 9am onwards.


  3. How do I place my order?

    You may place an order with us via the following method:

    Our sales associates will contact you to verify your order before sending you the confirmation letter for your acknowledgment.


  4. When is the latest I need to place my order?

    Order should be placed at least 5 working days prior to your event date or the soonest the possible for “Hot” dates. For weddings, at least one (1) month prior. We will not accept any more orders once our delivery time slots are taken up.


  5. How do I confirm my order?

    Once you have check through the confirmation order from us, you may confirm the order by faxing the form to 6241-9209 with your signature and/or company’s stamp or email with attachment.

    You may also confirm via SMS with our order reference number.


  6. Can I still make changes even after the confirmation?

    Please call us at least three (3) working days before 2pm prior to the delivery date. Our sales associates may be able to assist you on your changes request. To ensure that your order is valid, it is crucial that you receive our amendments.


  7. Office Hours

    Our office is open from Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 6.30pm and we are closed on Sunday and Public Holidays.

    If you place an order with us after the office hour, we will contact you on the next working day.


  8. What are your mode of payment?

    Only Cash, Cheque or Credit Card (through Paypal) payment is accepted.

    Payment via credit card shall be made at the point of online ordering. Cash or cheque payment shall be made at point of delivery of food.

    For cash payment at the point of delivery, please try to have exact amount ready.

    All cheques must be crossed and made in favour of "Curry Pot Catering Pte Ltd".

    For companies requesting for credit facility, please contact any of our sales associates and a credit evaluation form will be required for review.

    Our delivery team will present you the invoice on the day of delivery.


  9. Is there any deposit?

    Yes, there is. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required for confirmation of event above $1000.00.


  10. Will there be any charges if I were to cancel my order last minute?

    There is a cancellation charge levied at 50% of the total amount if notice given is less than five (5) working days or 100% if less than two (2) working days.


  11. Is Curry Pot catering GST registered?

    Yes, Curry Pot is GST registered. Hence, all prices are subjected to prevailing 7% tax.


  12. Is there any other charges that we need to know of?

    Other than the delivery charge of $50.00 for buffet delivery and $30.00 for mini buffet delivery, there will also be an additional 7% GST charge.

    Also, if your reception got to be at non-lift area, then there will be a surcharge of $10.00 is applicable per floor level. Meaning, if our delivery team need to climb 2 floors up, hence that will be $20.00.

    Additional surcharge of $10.00 for delivery is at offshore areas (Sentosa or Jurong Island) and Central Area (CBD) denoted by the first 2 digits of the postal code:
    Robinson – 01, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08;
    Marina Square – 03, 17;
    Orchard – 22, 23;
    Bras Basah – 18, 19





FAQ ON CATERING - REGULAR BUFFET ORDERINGS


  1. What is the difference between regular buffet and mini buffet?

    Well, regular buffet comes with full setup with tables, linen drape and silk floral centrepiece. Where else, mini buffet is totally no frills at all. You don’t even need to worry about taking up too much space.

    Be it regular buffet or mini buffet, there will be a provision of bio-degradable disposable ware, serviettes and garbage bags.


  2. If my eating time is at 12pm, what time will your guys arrive?

    Depending on your number of headcount, we will come an hour early than your eating time. This is due to setting up of the buffet station and heating up the food from the fire wax usually will take 30minutes.

    Still, we do seek your understanding if delivery vary 30 minutes before or after the stipulated time due to the unpredictable weather or road traffic conditions.


  3. Do you provide any decorations for a birthday party?

    No, we do not provide this services. But however, we will be glad to share with you which company does nice decoration from what we see and we hear.


  4. How much food should I order?

    We will advise you to order as per your guaranteed number of headcount. If you are unsure how many will be coming for the party, you may place a minimum order with us first and later on, increase accordingly.

    On our part, we provide an extra 10% to act as a buffer.

    Just to highlight, certain popular items on the menu will run out faster than other items.


  5. Can I request for some take-away boxes of containers?

    Due to strict National Environment Agency (NEA) ruling regarding to food hygiene, we do not encourage balance food to be packed away.

    Also, we shall not be responsible and disclaim any liability for whatsoever for any item that is taken outside and / or consumed outside the catering venue.


  6. Do you rent out tables and chairs?

    We do rent our sitting stools and 3ft square tables with drape.

  7. What is your collection time? Can I extend the collection time for my buffet?

    Our collection timing is three (3) hours from your eating time. You may contact our sales associates if you need to extend your collection timing but it will be subjected to our availability.

    For reception inside function room at condominium, please let us know your booking time with the building management. Same request if you book a function room at some clubs or whatsoever. This will help us to standby our guys when to be ready for collection.

    For our night collection, latest timing to collect is at 10.30pm. If you need us to collect after 10.30pm, please give us a notice at least 3 working days. There will also be a late collection / or following day collection surcharge of $50.00+.





FAQ ON CATERING – MINI BUFFET ORDERS


  1. How are your mini buffet being served?

    For our mini buffet, food will be served in disposable microwaveable containers. Unless bigger group like 40pax or so, we will packed them in aluminium trays.

    Mini buffet is good for small group and just want no frills on the buffet reception. Hence, it does not comes with full buffet setup and you don’t have to worry about spacing.


  2. Is there any collection for mini buffet?

    There is no need for collection as there is no buffet setup. All containers can be thrown after the party.
